At Green Dog Dental & Veterinary Center, we integrate traditional veterinary medicine with proven Eastern techniques to help pets live longer, more comfortable lives. Veterinary acupuncture is one of the most effective natural therapies for pain relief, mobility, and organ function—without the side effects of pharmaceuticals.
Whether your pet is recovering from injury, struggling with arthritis, or simply needs better balance, acupuncture can restore comfort and dignity—even for pets once thought untreatable. We’ve seen companions regain mobility, strength, and calm through this gentle, time-honored practice.
What Is Veterinary Acupuncture?
Acupuncture has been used in China for over 3,500 years and remains a cornerstone of modern integrative medicine. It works by stimulating specific points on the body—called acupoints—to activate the nervous system, increase circulation, and release endorphins (the body’s natural painkillers).
These reactions reduce inflammation, improve nerve function, and trigger the body’s innate healing response.
At Green Dog, acupuncture may be performed using:
- Fine sterile needles
- Therapeutic laser (laser acupuncture)
- Gentle pressure or aqua-injections

Treatment Frequency:
- Mild conditions: weekly for 3–4 weeks.
- Chronic conditions: 6–8 sessions may be needed before full results.
